HISTORY

The Central scientific and research laboratory (CSRL) was founded in 1972 under the resolution of the State Committee for science and engineering of the Council of Ministers of the USSR under the guidance of professor V.T.Antonenko. At the time the major directions of the CSRL scientific activity were the following ones: the study of immunological responsiveness in the problem of organs and tissues transfer; the development of the questions of the pathogenesis of cardio-vascular diseases of hypoxic and immune genesis. According to the results achieved by the research workers there were held proper scientific for a in 1983, 1987, 1993, 2004. The CSRL research findings were exhibited before the international and Ukrainian public.

Since 1998 K.N.Igrunova, candidate of medical science has been head of the laboratory. As a sequel of the long-term fundamental investigations which included the data from up-to-date cardiology, genetics, radiology, virusology, immunology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, hematology, oncology, etc. There was developed and implemented a budjet investigation called "Sudden death. Study of neuroimmune mechanisms acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular pathology development. Development of complex diagnostic test-systems for detecting risk groups, prophylactics and treatment."

There also were carried out complex clinical and experimental researches concerting the formation of arrythmogenic substrate and angiospasm of infections (herpes, cytomegalovirus, chlamidiosis) and non-infections (immobilization stress) etiology. The research work resulted in the development of new approaches to the realization of the processes of cardiovascular pathology development. In particular, there was shown a predominant importance of emotional stress as a disregulatory etymologic factor caused the formation of morpho-functional substrate of cellular and circulatory pathology in myocardium.

When implementing the researches the CSRL of NMAPE collaborates with scientific-research institutes of the academy of medical sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Medical University.

Processing from the resolution of the Ministry of public health of Ukraine (№ 135 from 8.06.2000) the CSRL was accredited to carry out clinical investigations on immunology, biochemistry and genetics.

Directions of the activity

Nowadays the laboratory fundamental and applied studies are carried out on the standards of world's medicine. The researches are implemented in both a training process and a clinical practice of the Academy.

·         Study of regulatory role of the immune system;

·         Study of apoptosis mechanisms;

·         Study of hypertrophy and proliferation mechanisms;

·         Study of genetic determinants of the pathology development;

·         Study of the significance of infections agent and cytokines in the development of cardiovascular pathology;

·         Study of the pathogenesis of stress reaction;

·         Significance of all mentioned factors in the development of critical states.

The applied questions to be used in the practice of health service are settled on the basis of fundamental investigations. In particular, the CSRL has proposed an original diagnostic algorhythm to determine the index of alls apoptosis of cardiovascular system for detecting risk groups in cardiologic clinics. The new methods of individual drug adjustment in vitro for optimizing patients treatment have been proposed. The methods of diagnostics and protection of stressogenic pathology are developed.

Equipment

The following equipment are in the laboratory: flow cytoflurimeter, luminescente microscope with digital nozzle. Thrombocytes aggregation analyzer AP 2110, biochemical semiautoanalyser METROLAB 1600-DR, the researches of cytokines and cytogenetic analysis – PCR are carried out.

Scientific activity

During the period of the CSRL activity there have been, fulfilled 30 Doctor's and 40 Candidates dissertations. More than 800 original articles have been published, 87 scientific reports have been made, including 18 – abroad, there also have been received 20 author's patents for inventions.

The CSRL research workers render methodic and consultative assistance to the competitors and post-graduate students of the Academy concerning the planning and fulfillment of their dissertations.
