One of the most
important tasks of the Academy is training scientific and
pedogogical successors. As long as 40 years ago, for the first
time, it obtained the right to defend theses for a Degree of
Candidate of Medical Sciences. Currently, NMAPE named after
P.L.Shupyk there are 10 Specialized Academic Boards in 12
specialities for awarding Candidate’s and Doctorate’s Degrees in
the following areas: internal diseases; nervous diseases;
obstetrics and gynecology; anesthesiology and intensive therapy;
forensic medicine; pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy;
pharmaceutics and pharmacy organization; surgery; social medicine;
stomatology; eye diseases; medico-biological informatics and
cybernetics.
The Academy trains
postgraduates in 40 medical and pharmaceutical specialities,
persons working for Doctor’s Degree – 13 specialties. Currently,
over 160 postgraduate students, 20 masters, 192 clinical residents
