The important place in the structure of the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after P.L. Shupyk belongs to the Department of International Relations and Scientific and Pedagogical Work with Foreign Subjects founded in 1993 in the view of intense development of relations of the independent Ukraine and the Academy with foreign countries. Lots of physicians desired to get the qualitative postgraduate education just in our Academy being oriented to the experience and professionalism of our tutors.

Postgraduate training of physicians is provided in accordance with the license issued by The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in all the specialties at master courses, clinical residency, PhD and specialized training courses. More than 400 foreigners from 54 countries of the world including the USA, Germany, Poland, the Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Georgia, Iran, Greece, India, China etc. study at the departments annually. The graduates of the Academy successfully work not only in the homeland but in British, German, French, American and other clinics of the world.

The legal base of the department is the Regulation about the department as well as personal agreements with foreign citizens eager to study at the Academy.

The department’s activity is guided by main directions defined in accordance to the field of the Academy.

Organizational structure of the department:

  • division of contracted postgraduate education;
  • marketing division$
  • educational centre.

The main goal of the department’s activity is participation in development and achievement of international educational, scientific, humanitarian and medical programs.

The main directions are as follows:

  • popularization of scientific pedagogical and clinical activities of the Academy among potential foreign partners.
  • Participation in developing and realizing international scientific, pedagogical programs.
  • Organization of international educational programs and academic exchange.
  • Search and research of potential foreign partners for cooperation.
  • Organization of international meetings, seminars, conferences.
  • Organization and carrying on talks with foreign partners on issues providing for mutual interest.
  • Contribution to receiving grants by the Academy scientists.
  • Organization of training courses for foreign citizens at the departments of the Academy.
  • Organization of cooperation with foreign higher educational institutions and embassies of foreign countries.
  • cooperation with mass media and creating public opinion.
  • Creation of joint institutions schools, centers, enterprises with the participation of the Academy and foreign partners.

 

Information for entrance:

To enter the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after P.L.Shupyk foreigners should get information about availability of the places in advance and submit the documents as follows:

  1. Notarized copy of the document about higher education and transcript with the list of subject and received marks (points)
  2. Medical certificate and a certificate indicating HIV and AIDS absence
  3. Application form
  4. 5 photos 4x6cm.

Duration of training: clinical residency – 2 years (the term can be extended by authority of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine), master course - 2 years, PhD course - 3 years, specialized training is not limited in terms.

Tuitions fee: $ 3000 per year - master courses and clinical residency

$ 3500 per year – PhD course

$ 300 per month - specialized training

If necessary, 1 place in a room for 2-3 persons in a hostel of the Academy, the cost for the hostel accommodation is $ 30 per month.
