History Data: Neurological department N1 was founded in a january the 3d 1980 according to the order of the Soviet Union Ministry of Health as a department of neurological diseases N3 for neurologists of Kyiv and Kyiv area postgraduate aducation. The department founder and the first chief is Yu.I.Golovchenko. He is the member of medical journals editorships. Also he is the vice-president of neurologists and psychiatrist’s society. Nowadays the skilled teachers and scientists have been worked. Teaching and Methodological Activities: The following courses are held at the Department: specialization: the cycle of neurological, adjacent cycle of the psychiatry specialization; pre-certification: the cycle of neurology postgraduate education; topical advanced training: neurology actual questions. Internship on neurology, internal diseases, psychiatry. Adjacent cycle of the family doctor internship. There is a possibility for the students of all cycles paid education. Also for medical residents and candidates training is possible. Scientific work: The neurology department scientific theme: peripheral neurology system diseases and cerebral vascular diseases. Clinical work: The neurological department N1 has been situated on the base of clinical hospital N9 for a long time. Department`s staff curate a 70 patients of the neurological diseases department.
