Historical reference:

Chair was founded on 9th of February, 2001 by initiative of V. N. Girin, ex-principal of Kiev Medical Academy of Post-graduating Studying named after P. L. Shupik, in the aim of providing highly qualified dentistry help for population of Ukraine through post-graduating studying of dentists. Chair was headed by professor, doctor of medical sciences A. V. Pavlenko.

Cycles providing by the Chair:

specialization cycle -- “dentistry”(duration 3 months)

before-attestation cycle -- “dentistry”(duration 1 month).

cycles of thematic advanced studies (1 week; 1 month)

Training of interns on a speciality "stomatology" is carried out.

The chair also spends educational process with masters, clinical interns, post-graduate students (aspirants), practical doctors-stomatologists on clinical bases which are equipped by modern stomatologic equipment. Lessons are held by highly skilled teachers in the conditions of full methodical maintenance of educational process and technical equipment (the projective technics, video, etc). Carrying out position of the order №484 of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Chair provides continuous educational training of specialists by their attraction to active participation in the international scientifically-practical conferences and lecture halls of the Educational center of Ukrainian Dental Association named after prof. M. F.Danilevsky with assistance of exhibition company "Medvin".

Scientific work:

Priority line of activity of Chair is mastering the most difficult modern technologies in the stomatology, developed both in Ukraine and abroad, with the subsequent introduction of it in daily practical activities of doctors-stomatologists. A scientific direction of Chair is also an improvement of existing methods of diagnostics and preventive maintenance of stomatological diseases with use of modern technologies in medicine and computer sciences. Subject of planned scientific research work is: «Clinical and laboratory substantiation of application of modern medical technologies in complex treatment and rehabilitation of the basic stomatological diseases».

The clinical base of Chair is equipped by the modern stomatological equipment and instruments. Medical work is spent on clinical bases of Chair: the municipal “Kiev City Stomatological Polyclinic”, "Stomatological Clinic SP", "Smile Plus", Perejaslav-Khmelnitskiy Central Regional Hospital, Stomatological center "Renaissance", "European stomatological center".

The international activity:

Scientific achievements of teachers of Chair are widely known as well as in Ukraine, and abroad.

They have passed different trainings in the following countries: USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Czechia, Montenegro, Israel, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Kirghizia.

On Chair of Stomatology foreign citizens from the following countries are studies: Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Germany, Russia, Georgia.
