History Data: Department of Medical Statistics started its work in September 2001. Cycles advanced training of doctors have been conducted by the Department of Medical Statistics since 08.01.2002. During the work of the department curriculums and programs of 2 cycles of thematic advanced training "Fundamentals of medical demography into account deaths and morbidity of population using ICD-10", "Statistics in clinical, epidemiological and market research" were developed and approved by the Faculty and Academic Boards. Permission to conduct courses of specialization and pre-certification in spatiality "Public Health Management and Organization " (for medical statisticians) was received from the Department of Education, Science and Information and Analytic Service for Health of Ukraine. The programs and computer tests of these cyclers were approved by the Coordinating Council of Health of Ukraine. Teaching and Methodological Work: The following courses are conducted at the Department: Specialization: “Public Health Management and Organization”(for the doctors - statistics) duration of 2 months. Pre-certification: “Public Health Management and Organization"”(for the doctors - statistics) 1 month duration. Probations on a speciality “Public Health Management and Organization"”(for the doctors - statistics) 1 month duration. Advanced training courses: " Bases of a medical demography and account of cases of death and the diseases the population with use ICD-10 " «Statistics in clinical, epidemiological, and market research» Scientific Research Activities: Employees of the department carried out a planned research work, "Information and analytical support for management decision-making in the health system" № 0107U011814.
