Scientific Research Activities:

The basic direction of scientific researches of the department is the research and practical studies of structure and development of technologies enteral and paraenteral medical means with plasma substitutional and antibacterial action.

Professor R.S. Korytniuk gave theoretical and experimental substantiation of technological processes that provide stability of a number of samples of plasma substitutional solutions of polyelectrolyte structure with power substrata in large-scale glass and polyvinyl chloride package, and also as dry and liquid concentrates in ampoules. It allowed, on the basis of studying the needs of resuscitation, burns and surgical clinics, to create preparations, and to scientifically reaosn the technology of plasma substitutional solutions with the purpose of their industrial and chemist's manufacture. Combination of technological and physical-chemical researches provided the creation of technological bases and the organization of manufacture of polyionic solutions of different modifications, among which there are liquid concentrates, and also an original medication of infuse solution in the form of dry lyophilizate of ringer-lactate solution under the name “Ryktafil”.

The results of theoretical and experimental research are published in the monograph “Technology and quality control of solutions for injections in drugstores” - Кyiv, "Zdorovya”, 1990, which is the manual for scientific-practical workers of pharmacy.

Under the guidance of Professor R.S. Korytniuk, an industrial and chemist's technology of combined power-poly-ionic colloid solution manufacturing for infusions and of a solution for peritoneal dialysis was developed. The techniques of the control were worked out, the projects of technological regulations and the ANDES on solutions were developed, and it helped to introduce separate fragments of technological and analytical research into industrial production.
