Department of Organization and Economy of PharmacyTeaching Staff:
History Data: The department of the organization of pharmaceutical business has been created at the Kyiv institute of improvement of pharmacists, nowadays National Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education named after P.L.Shupyk, of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in 1939. And in the same year it was reorganized in the course with its inclusion in structure of technology of medicinal forms and Galens preparations. During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) the organization course, as well as all institute, didn't work, and the majority of employees of institute has been called in the Soviet Army. In January, 1945 the department has renewed the work. In December, 1977 by order of МH of the USSR № 1105 on the basis of course ОEF of department of technology of medicine there was created the department of the organization and economics of the pharmaceutical business, later renamed into department of the organization and pharmacy economics. That is department OEF has big traditions based in the thirties. The significant contribution to the development of the department was brought by the candidate of pharmaceutical sciences, the associate, head of course, and then head of the department of the organization and pharmacy economics (ОEF) Ivan M. Gubsky (1966-1986). I.M.Gubsky has passed a labor way from managing a drugstore, director of pharmaceutical school to the chief of regional drugstore-management at first, then the Main chemist's management and head of department OEF. At the initiative of the scientist progressive forms of the organization of pharmaceutical business are introduced: a collective financial responsibility in drugstores, surcharge for a qualifying category, the organization of the network of interhospital drugstores which operate untill now. In 1959 at the initiative of I.M.Gubsky the edition of "Pharmaceutical journal" resumed. In 1958 I.M.Gubsky prepared the textbook first in the former USSR for students of pharmaceutical institutes and system of post-graduate education with ОEF, and later (1976) it was organized its second edition. From 1986 to 1991 the head of department was the candidate of pharmaceutical sciences, the associate Lyudmila T. Zagorovska who had skillfully continued to direct the staff on improving the educational process and introduction of the development of the department staff in practical pharmacy. The conditions for the creative scientific activity are made at the department. For the first time at the department of OEF senior lecturer Mykola S. Ponomarenko worked on and in 1990 defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Organizational Principles, methodologies and forms of improving the system of post-graduate education of pharmacists." From 1991 to the present the head of the department is Professor Mykola S. Ponomarenko. Under the guidance of head of the department OEF the creative team of teaching staff embodies in the educational process the latest technologies of management and organization of the work of the subjects of pharmaceutical activity in contemporary conditions (marketing, Rational Pharmaceutical Management, formulary system, farmaeconomics, etc.). As the part of main educational institution in Ukraine, which is National Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education named after P.L.Shupyk (2008 - 90 years since its inception), department of OEF together with other relevant departments serves as the organization center for coordinating and improving the system of post-graduate education. For the first time in recent years staff of the department in domestic and foreign practice creatives the system of combined method of measuring the knowledge, skills, developments (KMM), using professional standards (PS). Managing control of professional knowledge enables to do qualimetry using both computer technology and machinless technology of measure of knowledge, skills, developments. The staff of the Department attaches great importance to improve the system of assessment and reception of validity results of control of knowledge. KMM of knowledge, skills, developments enable and provides the involvement of different types of assessment staff at all stages of education and the existing types of evaluation: individual, front, outer, inner, verbal, certification, central, that is, assessment of knowledge (dotsimetry, qualimetry) is made permanent both as oral, written test simulation, and with the assistance of computer technology. Methodological framework allows listeners attach to the self-assessment activity (internal evaluation) or cross-checking (tutorial organization of control). Methodical work: At the department the series are conducting: before certification "Organization and management of pharmacy"; specialization and training “Organization and management of pharmacy”; thematic improvement for pharmacists/ Pharmacists are trained interns'“General pharmacy". Scientific activities: At the department of organization and economics of pharmacy the research work "Scientific methodology and theoretical foundation of information, harmonization and optimization of the system of management in the pharmaceutical sector's health" are made. International activities: In order to intensify the implementation and realization of international agreements on cooperation in the postgraduate education of pharmacists-specialists among the NIS states-members all the test programs are created both in Ukrainian and Russian languages, that gives the possibilities of cycles of retraining, improvement and post-graduate education of pharmacists-specialists at the request of the New Independent States. The programs are prepared to the requirements of Independent Pharmacy Practice (distribution) in accordance with the requirements, standards and norms of the European Union.
